Getting a photo your dog will recognise

1

Get down to their level

Photos taken from standing height mostly show the top of an animal. Crouching produces a far more recognisable face, which is what makes the page work.

2

Daylight, not flash

Flash flattens fur and blows out eyes. A photo near a window or outdoors gives the line art much more to work with.

3

Include the humans

A book of the dog alone is good. A book of the dog with the child who loves it is better, and it is the one that gets kept.

A photo on the left page and the same moment as a colouring page on the right.

Every spread pairs the original photo with its colouring page, so the memory and the drawing sit side by side.

How it works

  1. Pick your photos. Six to eighteen, straight from your phone.
  2. Choose a cover and title. The cover stays in full colour.
  3. Pick the detail level. Simple and bold for little hands, or intricate for older colourists.
  4. We print and post it. Or email you a print-ready PDF, if you would rather print it yourself.

Digital from $9. Printed, saddle stitched and posted across Australia from $39. See full pricing

Questions

Will it actually look like my pet?

That is the point: markings, build and face are kept recognisable. You will see a preview before paying.

Can I include more than one animal?

Yes, as many as you like within your book size.

Do you keep the photos of my pet?

They are deleted once your book ships. Nothing is retained and nothing is shared.

Make the one book with your dog in it

Six photos is enough. Preview it before you pay a cent.
