School holiday activities made from their own life

Two weeks is a long time. A colouring book of their own holidays, their own pets and their own friends holds attention in a way a shop-bought one does not.

Picking photos they will sit still for

1

Pick photos with people in them

Landscapes make pretty pages but children colour for longer when they can see themselves, their siblings or their dog on the page. Faces are the hook.

2

Match the detail level to the child

Under-fives need big open shapes and thick outlines. Nine and up will happily spend an hour on a detailed page and get bored by a simple one. You choose the level before you order.

3

Save a few pages for the car

A book that comes out only on long drives or at the cafe stays interesting all holidays. Order the digital edition too and you can print a second copy for the glovebox.

A photo on the left page and the same moment as a colouring page on the right.

Every spread pairs the original photo with its colouring page, so the memory and the drawing sit side by side.

How it works

  1. Pick your photos. Six to eighteen, straight from your phone.
  2. Choose a cover and title. The cover stays in full colour.
  3. Pick the detail level. Simple and bold for little hands, or intricate for older colourists.
  4. We print and post it. Or email you a print-ready PDF, if you would rather print it yourself.

Digital from $9. Printed, saddle stitched and posted across Australia from $39. See full pricing

Questions

What age is this good for?

Roughly three to twelve. You pick the line-art complexity when you order, so the same photos can produce a book for a four-year-old or a ten-year-old.

How long does it take to arrive?

The digital PDF is emailed as soon as it is ready. Printed books are produced and posted within Australia, so order at the start of term if you want it for the break.

Do you keep the photos of my children?

No. They are used to make the book and deleted the moment it ships. Nothing is retained and nothing is shared.
