What works on a lap tray

Fine detail is frustrating on a moving back seat. A simpler line-art level colours well on a lap tray and does not need perfect control.
Take pencils, not textas
Coloured pencils do not leak, dry out or mark upholstery, and they work on the paper the book is printed on. This is not a small point in a caravan.

Questions
Will it survive being in the car?
Printed books are saddle stitched on solid paper and hold up to normal use. For a trip where it might not survive, take the digital edition and print two copies.
Can we do one for each child?
Yes, and it works better than sharing. Each book can use different photos and a different detail level to suit each child.
What happens to the photos once the book is made?
They are deleted when your book ships. We keep nothing, and nothing is passed on.
